World Extreme Skiing Championships and 19 Warren Miller Film Titles
Colorado native Chris Anthony is a long-time Vail resident.
When not busy traveling the globe with the Warren Miller film crew, Chris heads up specialized camps through "Chris Anthony Adventures" The programs take place in Cordova Alaska, Italy, The Beaver Creek Park Hyatt Resort and Spa as well as in his home resort of Vail. Chris is also a co-host of the "Ski with the Superstars" in Portillo, Chile and Ski Magazines “Ski With The Pros” in Beaver Creek Colorado.
For the last 19 years Chris has traveled as a member of the Warren Miller Film Team, freelanced for several publications, co-authored a guide book, been commissioned to write a screenplay, hosted and produced television programming for RSN and FOX Sports, started a consulting business, has worked over 20 plus years and continues to do so for Vail Resorts, visits schools on behalf of Colorado Ski Country and has given substantial time to a variety charities.
In 1991 Chris was honored by being named a student Ambassador for the State of Colorado by the Governor in office. A title he carried with him during a goodwill mission to the Prefecture of Yamagata in Japan.
In recent years Chris has spent time filming with the US Marine Corps, and United States Navy. On the aircraft carrier the USS Nimitz, Chris did a presentation, which brought him back to the vessel to film a Warren Miller segment as the carrier was being deployed to the Middle East.
On snow since the age of one and reaching the ranks US Ski Team’s Training Group, Chris broke away from skiing long enough to reach international ranks in the cycling world, receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado, studied for a period at USC’s graduate film program where he was commissioned to write a spec script and had another optioned.
In 1994 he found himself training with and serving as motivational peer to three-time Tour De France Champion Greg Lemond. He also had the opportunity to work with director, producer and actor Michael Douglas at his Production Company Douglas / Reuther Productions located on the Paramount studio lot.
In October of 1998 Chris was hired to design, direct as well as select athletes for a nationally syndicated Speedcross race. The inaugural event took place successfully in Mammoth, California on January 9th 1999 and aired on CBS.

This season Chris has continued working with Warren Miller Entertainment as an athlete and spokesperson for the legendary film company. He was also invited to spend time outside Beijing, China at the resort of Jundushan as guest in which he provided guidance to the resort’s proprietor as it grows in a booming economy. The trade helped further establish relationships between Colorado’s Ski industry and China’s ski industry.
Presently, Chris continues to conquer new terrain in the backcountry while becoming more familiar with the old. This is a lifestyle he shares with the world by passing on innovative ideas as a heli-guide, journalist, motivational speaker and spokesperson for Colorado Ski Country’s 5th Grade Passport Program.
